Welcome to the
New England Community
for EFT!

We are affiliated with the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) originated by Sue Johnson, Ed.D., and provide training and consultation in EFT for mental health professionals.

Our Mission
  • To support one another as practitioners of EFT in the on-going process of learning and refining our skills through creating high quality training, supervision and peer support opportunities.
  • To reach out to the larger community of therapists to introduce them to EFT and provide opportunities to learn about this valuable approach in the hopes of expanding the EFT community
  • To reach out to the lay community to make them aware of EFT, Hold Me Tight, and the services and resources available to support their relationships in this powerful way.

Our Vision
Our vision is to create a safe, cohesive, actively involved group in which we mutually support one another on an ongoing basis toward our common goals of becoming the best EFT therapists we can be and of extending ourselves to the clinical as well as the lay community in sharing the effectiveness of this powerful approach.

About EFT
EFT is an empirically validated, humanistic and short term, psychotherapeutic approach to working with couples originated by Sue Johnson, Ed.D.

As a community committed to excellence in EFT training, we offer all levels of instruction: introductions to the model, externships, core skills advanced trainings, workshops on working with trauma and infidelity as well as other special topics.
